What’s your opinion?

Proactol is a diet pill that ensures that your body cannot make use of all the calories that come with the fat in food you eat. Its active ingredient is the substance “Opuntia Ficus Indica”, a cactus extract that turns into jelly when in the stomach. That jelly binds itself to the fat in the food, ensuring that it cannot be absorbed by the body. In fact, up to 27% of the fat that you eat will then leave the body through the intestines. At the same time, the jelly makes you feel full longer, the Glycemic Index in the stomach is lowered, less insulin is produced and the cholesterol level is lowered.

Here you’ll find frequently asked questions & answers about Proactol diet pills, how they differ from other diet pills, and their pros & cons. At the bottom of the page you can leave a review and read what others have written about Proactol.

Frequently asked questions about Proactol

Proactol is composed of insoluble and soluble fibres extracted from the cactus Opuntia Ficus Indica. The insoluble fibres bind the fat in the stomach and the soluble fibres create a jelly making the stomach content more viscous. This gelatinous fat-fibre complex cannot be processed by the body and instead continues straight through your system.

This is good for several reasons:

  1. The fat is absorbed. Up to 27% of the fat you have eaten sticks to the jelly before the body absorbs it. Therefore the body gets less calories.
  2. The appetite is suppressed. It’s been proven that viscous food makes you feel full for longer. As an example: if you eat a potato and drink a glass of water, the water goes straight through the stomach and you soon become hungry again. However, if you mix the potato and water to mash, it stays longer in the stomach and you feel full longer.
  3. The Glycemic Index is lowered and you get less cravings for sugar. Since the stomach content becomes thicker, the body won’t process the carbohydrates as quickly, meaning a slower surge of your blood sugar levels.
  4. The cholesterol (LDL) is reduced by up to 10% according to some studies.

Proactol contains the cactus Opuntia Ficus Indica. The substance is organic and not genetically modified.
The laboratory BioSerae in France which manufacture NeOpuntia® have done several studies showing the following results:

  • Test tube studies have shown that approximately 27% of the fatty acids are encapsulated by the jelly and therefore cannot be processed by the body.
  • A clinical study has shown that the amount of fat leaving with the faeces is increased by 27%.
  • A longer clinical study of metabolic syndrome using NeOpuntia showed that the harmful cholesterol (LDL) was reduced and the good cholesterol (HDL) increased. When the study finished, 40% of the test group who had used NeOpuntia had been cured of their metabolic syndrome, compared to only 8% of the placebo group.

Proactol is a diet pill that ensures the body cannot use all of the calories you get from the fat in the food. There are however different kinds of diet pills.

Popular pills increasing the fat burning processes are
– the more gentle: Lepigen X-strong and H.O.P.E,
– the more powerful (containing synephrine): Lepigen Superstrong,
– and the more long-term (containing wakame): Termoloss and Zenjaki (not sold in the UK at the moment).

There are also diet pills that block fat, or at least ensure the body cannot use all of it. These are: Proactol, Lipobind and H.O.P.E.

The third type of pills lower the Glycemic Index of the food. These are: DEcarb.

There are also diet pills (and patches) that suppress appetite, Hoodia Patch (Evolution), as well as those transforming fat into muscle, Evolution CLA.

The last type of diet pills cleanse the body through detox, and in that group we have 30 days.

All diet aids that stop fat from being absorbed by the body have side-effects to some extent. These are for example: loose stool, excess gas or changed consistency of the stool. Apart from that, Proactol has not shown any major side-effects.
You could eat whatever you want, but to maximize your weight loss you should avoid fatty food in general, eat smaller portions, avoid sugar and other simple carbohydrates. You should also consider taking a multivitamin pill to ensure you get all the vitamins the body needs.

Since Proactol absorbs fat, it also absorbs vitamins that are fat-soluble. Therefore you shouldn’t take Proactol within two hours after eating supplements of the vitamins A, D, E and K or the fatty acid Omega-3.

That depends. Read on the package to find out the dosage that will work for you.
You shouldn’t take Proactol within two hours after eating supplements of the fatsoluble vitamins A, D, E and K or supplements of essential fatty acids such as Omega-3.

Children under the age of 12, women that are pregnant or breast feeding and those with a BMI under 18.5 should never take diet pills.

If you are taking prescription drugs or have kidney problems, you should discuss it with your doctor before using Proactol.

Exercise is always good, but it’s not necessary for Proactol to work. You will however lose weight more quickly if you do exercise at the same time.

  1. The active substance of Proactol is a natural preperation made ecologically without chemicals or additives.
  2. Proactol is one of the ways to lose weight that doesn’t demand any changes in life-style, neither diet nor exercise. Since you can continue to eat normally you won’t get the side-effects which might occur with more demanding diets, such as dizziness, nausea and headache.

  1. Loose stool is a possible side-effect of Proactol.
  2. To live healthily, eat well and exercise is something you should try and achieve, not only to lose weight quickly. The disadvantage of a diet pill like Proactol is that it’s a short cut and you lose the positive “side-effects” you get from more demanding ways of losing weight, like a healthier lifestyle.

You’ll lose more weight if you follow a diet plan at the same time. Since Proactol absorbs fat in the stomach, a low-fat diet is recommended, not a low-carb diet. To learn how to eat right you could join a weight loss club, for example Tescodiets.com.

Dieting with Proactol increases the chances of food deficiencies. You should therefore combine your Proactol dieting with an effective multivitamin pill.
